The article i chose is a review of Girl in Translation from Barnes and Noble. My article is about how the author describes how difficult Kimberly's life was and how she persevered through the rough times and helped her family.

8/26/2013 Girl in Translation Blog
In Girl in Translation, the main character, Kim, evolves into smart and witty woman who is very talented and exerts her wisdom into her peers' lives. Her and her mother barely kept up with their finances and she still ended up going to Yale and becoming a doctor. This leads into the theme of ambition. No matter how hard the circumstances were, she still succeeded and was excellent at everything she did.

I like the way you described how the main character evolved. This sounds like a really great book! :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading what you wrote about the book. It gave me good information about it. Do you think that the book would be as good if the main character hadn't had so many obstacles? Do you think there should have been more obstacles?
